How to Play

The Four Pillars of the Table

The fundamental flow of play that makes trick-taking games an enduring global tradition.

Phase 01

The Deal & Deck Cut

To preserve physical deck continuity, cards are gathered without excessive reshuffling, and the player to the dealer's right makes a physical cut.

Phase 02

Bidding & Trump Call

In 2v2, the Leader declares trump immediately from 5 cards. In 3v3, players auction-bid trick contracts, with trump revealed dynamically mid-trick.

Phase 03

Trick Execution

Moving clockwise, players must follow the suit led if able. If void, you can discard or trump. The highest card of the suit led or highest trump takes the trick.

Phase 04

Scoring & Sweeps

First partnership to 7 tricks captures the round. First to 7 round points wins the match, while sweeps award high-value Kot bonuses.
